NSC Fisheries PartnershipThe NSC Fisheries Partnership promotes integrated and sustainable management of shared fish stocks in the North Sea through the co-operation of fishers, scientists, managers and other stakeholders. The Partnership consists of national fisheries research organisations from countries around the North Sea, representative fishers’ associations, and the North Sea Commission, supported by specialist advisers. The Partnership is coordinated by Aberdeenshire Council, Scotland. The General Assembly of the North Sea Commission, held in Stavanger (Norway) on 18 June 2010, expressed their real concerns in respect of the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. The General Assembly urges all governments to urgently investigate the risks which exist in the North Sea.
The North Sea is of fundamental importance to the lives of its inhabitants and the economies of all the countries around the North Sea.
