List of NSC events in 2008

Call for candidates for President:
The president will in June end her 2nd President period and NSC must elect president for the next two years. President Gunn Marit Helgesen is a candidate for the Presidency for the next two years. Other interested candidates must state their interest for the position to the NSC Secretariat no later then 15 May 2008, nsc@northsea.org.

 NEW;
Vacant position as Vice-Chair of the Sustainable Development Group, Canditates must state their interrest to the NSC Secretariat no later than 2 June 2008,send mail to nsc@northsea.org.

Call for Resolutions and Political Statements:
Resolutions and Political Statements for the Annual Business Meeting on 13 June 2008 must be sent the NSC Secretariat no later than 15 May 2008.

Suggestion for better cooperation between the NSC members;
Work Shadowing Scheme

The purpose of the scheme is to invest in and train local and regional authorities’ officers in the North Sea area, by providing work shadowing experience to officers among the different members of the North Sea Commission, in order to share information on best practice and access a variety of studies.

Welcome to the
North Sea Commission

The North Sea Commission was founded in 1989 to facilitate and enhance partnerships between regions which manage the challenges and opportunities presented by the North Sea. The North Sea Commission also promotes the North Sea Basin as a major economic entity within Europe, by encouraging joint development initiatives and political lobbying at European Union level.
